Research and Innovation Labs Serious Illness and End-of-Life Narratives Lab
At the Serious Illness and End-of-Life Narratives Lab, our research and advocacy aim to enhance coping and mental well-being among people with life-limiting illnesses and their loved ones. Our work focuses on existential quality of life and how people find hope, connection, meaning, and purpose amidst serious illness.

RISE HAI Lab
In the RISE HAI (Research for the Inclusion, Social Justice, and Equity in Human-Animal Interaction) Lab, we are dedicated to advancing research at the intersection of human-animal interaction, social justice, and public health. Grounded in the values of equity, inclusion, and ethical research, we critically examine how social and structural factors shape human-animal relationships and their impact on well-being.
